چکیده

We define a family of non-principal ultrafilters on N ${\mathbb {N}}$ which are, in sense, very far from P-points. prove the existence such under reasonable conditions. In subsequent articles, we intend to that may exist while no P-point exists. Though our primary motivations came forcing and independence results, introduced here should be interesting combinatorial point view too.

Beyond stabilizer codes I: Nice error bases

Nice error bases have been introduced by Knill as a generalization of the Pauli basis. These bases are shown to be projective representations of finite groups. We classify all nice error bases of small degree, and all nice error bases with abelian index groups. We show that in general an index group of a nice error basis is necessarily solvable.

Decontamination effects of low-temperature plasma generated by corona discharge. Part I: an overview.

The first part of this article is devoted to a minireview of basic terms of plasma physics and chemistry described in a way understandable even to nonspecialists in the field. Among the methods of generation of low-temperature plasma, the unipolar electric corona discharge in air at atmospheric pressure is described in more detail. Selected studies are mentioned that concern the decontamination...

Binary models generated by their tally part

We introduce a class of models of the bounded arithmetic theory PVn. These models, which are generated by their tally part, have a curious feature : they have end-extensions or satisfy BΣn only in case they are closed under exponentiation. As an application, we show that if I∆0 + ¬exp BΣ1 then the polynomial hierarchy does not collapse. This paper is concerned with bounded theories of arithmeti...

Part I : Part Ii : Part Iii : Part Iv

The theory of stick-slip is developed, based on the concept of a static and dynamic coefficient of friction. The dynamic coefficient is assumed to be independent of displacement and to depend wholly on normal stress across the surface. It is also assumed to be velocity-independent. The theory predicts that the stress drop during stick-slip is independent of machine stiffness. The displacement d...
